Geoquest’s Reinforced Earth® MSE retaining walls are a tested solution for building earth dams, dam crests and abutments. Building a vertical or sloping Reinforced Earth® MSE structure will dramatically reduce the volume of backfill when compared with traditional profiles.
The Reinforced Earth® MSE solution has been used to build various types of dams and structures associated to dams:
- Embankment dams
- Overflow dams
- Saddle dams
- Check dams
- Dry dams
- Dam extensions
- Intake structures
- Outlet structures
Flexible construction solution for dykes and reservoirs
TerraDyke™ concept developed by Geoquest is a customised engineered solution particularly well adapted to the construction of dykes and reservoirs in coastal and inland environments.
The TerraDyke™ technique uses geotextile tubes at its core and utilises other geosynthetic components such as geotextiles, waterproofing membranes, drainage geocomposites and site specific erosion protection against currents, waves and run off.
Advantages of TerraDyke™:
- Uses geosynthetic materials
- Formed using locally available fill materials
- Can reduce footprint size with vertical faces
Protecting and preserving
- TechRevetment™: Fabric-formed concrete mattresses for protecting river or sea-facing sides of levees and dykes; suitable for underwater installation.
- TerraGreen®: Erosion protection blankets and turf reinforcement mats for landward sides, offering greening support.
- ArmaWeb®: Geocells for erosion control and vegetation support on landward sides.
- TerraTextile™: Geosynthetic solutions for filtration and separation.
- TerraFlow™: Geosynthetic products designed for drainage solutions.
- TerraLine™: Waterproofing geosynthetic, can be used in conjunction with MSE walls.
